Counseling

A space to understand, reflect and move forward.

Therapy is a collaborative experience. You are the expert in your own life, but that doesn't mean you have to navigate everything on your own. Sometimes we need support making sense of where we are, deciding where we want to go next, and figuring out how to get there.

Through counseling, I help individuals better understand themselves—including the thoughts, patterns and behaviors that have developed through their experiences. Together, we can explore what's working, what may no longer be serving you, and what you might want to approach differently.

Therapy can be a space to reflect, learn practical skills, work toward your goals and have a safe and supportive place to process life as it unfolds.

What We Can Explore

Stress, Anxiety & Overwhelm

Support with understanding stress responses, managing anxious thoughts, developing coping strategies and creating more balance in everyday life.

Life Transitions & Relationships

A space to navigate change, relationships, boundaries, identity, grief and the different seasons of life.

Self-Understanding & Growth

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized. I draw from evidence-informed approaches while recognizing that no single tool or framework works for everyone.

Our work may include exploring thought and behavior patterns, building practical coping skills, developing greater awareness of emotions and physical responses, and considering how past experiences may be influencing the present.

I also incorporate mindfulness, reflection and mind-body awareness where appropriate. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I aim to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and build skills they can continue using outside of the therapy room.

What to Expect

How do I get started?

Submit an inquiry through the contact form. I’ll follow up to learn a little more about what you’re looking for and discuss next steps. A brief consultation may be offered where helpful before scheduling your first session.

Are sessions in-person or virtual?

Counseling sessions are offered primarily virtually, allowing you to access support from a private and comfortable space that works for you.Limited in-person appointments may also be available upon request.

How long are counseling sessions?

Individual counseling sessions are approximately 50 minutes.

What can I bring to counseling?

You don't need to be in crisis or have a specific diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Counseling can be a space to work through stress, anxiety, grief, relationships, life transitions, recurring patterns, personal goals or simply a desire to understand yourself better.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, what you'd like support with, relevant experiences or concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on—we can figure that out together.

What is the cost of counseling?

Individual counseling sessions are $80 for 50 minutes. Radiant Roots is currently a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
